This is an Open Office file with lists of Buddhist Studies Periodicals. It is a rather rough attempt to put together relevant information about these journals with a special emphasis on the lesser known languages. The aim is to give librarians in the field an idea of what to purchase.
There are three lists in this file: One for Chinese, Japanese and Korean academic and non-academic Buddhist journals arranged according to stroke number (c.350 items). One ABC-list of academic and non-academic Buddhist journals in other languages (c.350 items). The final list is for academic journals that do not specialize in Buddhism, but publish articles on Buddhist Studies within a wider field (c.450 items).
Whereever available we tried to include a link to the online version of the journals.
To use the lists you need Open Office 1.9 or later. Open Office is a free, fully functional open source alternative to MS Office. It can read and save to all MS Office formats. If you don't have Open Office yet, please find it at: www.openoffice.org
